The Night of the Light @KKC
A fortunate twist of fate has gifted us the chance to come together once more—because more is usually better! This time, we have a special guest—Ivo Naries from Estonia, a fellow burner, DJ, and one of the masterminds behind the Travelling Hedgehog art-car project on the Playa. He’s passing through Riga, and we couldn’t miss the opportunity to throw a party for burners and the burner-curious alike!
So, along with some amazing co-hosts we invite you to join us for an unforgettable night at Kaņepes Kultūras Centrs (KKC) in Riga on January 10. The evening kicks off with a cozy community gathering in KKC’s charming cinema hall. This is where we’ll reconnect, share stories, plan future adventures, enjoy some photos, and take a moment to pause before diving into a night of light and magic across two floors. Cinema will stay open and play documentaries on Bruning Man, bright, peronal and educational stories.
The first floor will feature KKC’s iconic bar, a chill space, downtempo beats, and a special live electronic performance. The second floor will be buzzing with energy, lit up by our favorite burner DJs!
DJ Ivo Naries (EE) will bring the vibes from north, while DJs Kan’, Kirha, Lava, and Antony and the Dummy (live, minus the Dummy) will represent LV. And of course, no burner party is complete without DJ Goku, DJ One Life, DJ Trip Advisor, and DJ Monk from LT!
Tickets: First 100 early bird community only tickets are 5 euros, then 100 late bird tickets would be 8 euros and then if some left over - regular tickets at the doors will be 10 euros.
Involvement Decorating starts the night before and continues all day Friday—want to pitch in and make this party truly yours? Got a fun idea, workshop, or service to share? Let your creativity shine—bring it, and let’s make it part of the night! Join us and skip the whole ticket thing! We will set up separate registration for these gifts. A place to stay If you’ve got a couch(es) in Riga where a burner would fit, we’ll share a spreadsheet for that soon. There’s also a hostel in an artist residency on Riga’s outskirts offering 15 beds at 15 euros per night. Carpooling details will also be organized. Dress Code Brightest clothes, sincerest smiles, and a little light. Our hearts is racing with excitement, and we hope yours are too. Until we meet—sooooon!
