Award winning UK based theatre company The Shakespeare Edit presents
MACBETH (solo), a distilled version of Shakespeare’s Macbeth for one actor.
This thrilling monodrama has played to sold out audiences in Daugavpils, as
well as in Udine (Italy), London, and at United Solo theatre festival in NYC
where the production won the award for Best International Show. Later this
month it will again be presented in the UK as part of York International
Shakespeare Festival.
Performed by Artistic Director Paul Goodwin, and created in collaboration with
Ukrainian composer Dmitriy Saratsky, this 1 hour dramatic monologue has
psychological depth, dynamic physicality and a brilliant soundscape bringing
Shakespeare’s tale of ambition, murder and madness fully alive for
contemporary audiences.
