On behalf of the Students’ Council of the University of Latvia you are kindly invited to kick off the upcoming study year by joining the ultimate student celebration of the season - Aristotle 2022 - taking place on September 4. Following a two-year gap due to the global pandemic, Aristotle rightfully returns to the main LU building at Raiņa boulevard 19, bringing together freshmen, seniors, alumni and faculty alike. As per tradition, the event is divided into the Official and the Evening parts.
The Official part commences at 18:00, during which the LU community will be addressed by university and state officials, faculties will compete in slogan chanting, while enrolling students will have a chance to mingle with their peers. This part of the event is free of charge and international students are especially welcomed to take part. The Official part will conclude with an organised march to the LU Academic campus.
The Evening part, beginning at 21:00, will present a gleeful celebration of the new study year in a festival-like setting, with Latvian bands and musicians performing throughout the night until the very sunrise. Major headliners will be announced on the Students’ Council Facebook page in early August. Expect vigorous dancing, snapping photos and taking part in other entertainment activities, food and drinks sold at the event grounds. To participate in the Evening part, a ticket must be purchased.
The tickets are limited, so hurry up and secure a spot for you and your friends to attend the Evening part, to be able to relax and enjoy one last night of freedom before the beginning of the upcoming study year. This year the ticket price for LU students is 10 EUR, and 13 EUR for non-LU students and guests.
