KAYD is a fusion band based in Hamburg, founded by musicians who share a deep passion for blending different styles and exploring new musical possibilities. Their music blends jazz, funk and rock built on a strong rhythmic foundation and an inviting groove. Improvisation plays a key role, lending a natural fluidity to the sound, while contemporary elements further shape a distinctive and evolving style.

They have been part of ensembles such as NHO Big Band, Bastian Menz Trio, and Vadim Dmitrijev’s Quintet, the FlipFlap project and also performed at festivals such as Usadba Jazz, Elb Jazz, Jazz Hall Summer Festival, and Jazz Open Hamburg, continuously refining their sound and approach as a band.
