Katrīna Gupalo and Edgars Vilcāns invite you to a vibrant musical experience at Kultūrbārs MASA on April 12. They will perform both their original music, including audience favorites The Cat’s Song, Dur Prom, Masas, Kamēr pret sauli kāpu, Tornado, and many more, as well as highlights from Broadway musicals, golden age American classics, jazz standards, and film music.
Katrīna Gupalo is a dynamic vocalist, pianist, and songwriter whose energy and expressiveness leave no one indifferent. She has studied in California and at the Royal Academy of Music in London, released two albums, and created musical performances. Her song Resistance was nominated for the "Kilograms of Culture" award, and in 2022, she was honored with the Order of the Three Stars.
Edgars Vilcāns is a jazz pianist, producer, and composer who has collaborated with artists from Ukraine and Latvia. He has worked at Kyiv’s recording company "MOZGI" and produced music for "Universal Latvia." A graduate of the Glière Music Academy, he has worked with leading jazz musicians.
