April 30 marks International Jazz Day, and we’re celebrating all week long by immersing ourselves in the rhythms of this extraordinary music. One of the highlights of the week is the “Tribute to Chet Baker” concert on May 2nd — a heartfelt homage to the legendary American jazz trumpeter and singer Chet Baker (1929–1988), renowned for his lyrical playing style and unforgettable, velvety-soft voice.
The concert will transport us into the cool and West Coast jazz atmosphere of the 1950s–60s, where romance and melancholy blend into a single breath. The program includes some of Baker's most iconic pieces, such as "Just Friends", "You Don’t Know What Love Is", "Let's Get Lost", and other timeless jazz standards.
