On 23 July, a bright musical event in the tradition of open-air festivals awaits guests in the garden of Villa fon Stricka - Botānika will bring together the cult independent band Aloe Vera, dance set “Give Peace a Chance: John Lennon & Yoko Ono” and the atmosphere of a cult Coachella, where love, peace and unique festival style reign.
The main event of the evening, of course, will become an enchanting concert by an independent, now banned in Russia, group Aloe Vera. There will be a lots of joy, freedom, kisses, splendor and delight. This concert will be the third group's performance in Riga as a part of the Botānika festival.
Their songs are heard in films, and cover versions of the creations of famous artists are invariably get rave reviews from critics. The secret of the group's popularity is sincerity of its performance and musical perfection of the compositions, as well as in audacity and even some provocativeness of the repertoire.
Set "Give Peace a Chance" will be performed by DJ Denis Funk - musician, producer, leader of the musical FunCOOLio team, music lover and vinyl collector with over 15 years of experience. "Give the world Chance" - the famous song of John Lennon, the anthem of all the protesters against the war. Music, which will sound as part of a vinyl set, is inspired by the legendary campaign for world peace, organized by John Lennon and Yoko Ona in 1969.
The taste of the festival is Martini Fiero. Its bright, refreshing taste with hints of juicy red oranges will be the basis of the best recipes of this summer. For one evening, the garden of the villa will turn into a carefree Martini Fiero space with bright sun loungers, armchairs, bars and the best locations for a photo.
The decorations for the festival will be prepared by the creative studio OH MY CARTON! which makes amazing cardboard art objects.
The Botānika festival is looking for an experiment, giving its audience the opportunity to get acquainted with rare, niche, but no less important and relevant phenomena in modern culture. The projects of the festival resonate with today as accurately as possible.
Entrance for children under 10 years old is free.
