A step toward the unknown—that’s how one could describe the collaboration between singer Inese Bērziņa and composer Ernests Valts Circenis. In their project, two worlds—jazz and contemporary academic music—meet, blending spontaneous improvisation to create experimental and meditative soundscapes. The audience will be invited to stop, listen, and let themselves flow with the delicate, playful music, where Inese’s voice intertwines with Ernest’s guiding electronic textures.
Ernests Valts Circenis is a composer exploring the interaction between sound and space. A JVLMA graduate, he studied at the Lyon National Conservatory and has collaborated with the Latvian Radio Choir, Daile Theatre, and various orchestras. His works have been performed at festivals across Europe.
Singer, vocal coach, composer, lyricist, and performer Inese Bērziņa is a lead vocalist in various projects, as well as a backing vocalist and pianist. She has been part of Inese Bērziņa Quartet, The Coco’nuts, No Rain Today, The Quinters, and several other musical collaborations.
