Scribbled on a mirror in red lipstick, the phrase “You Look Like A Lost Soul” would rise a curious eyebrow for most. This being the setting of the debut album by the Riga based band Polifauna, the concert at the lovely KKC will let you indulge yourself in the mysterious story behind the existential mirror trick.
Stylistically, Polifauna keep an open mind when regarding the boundaries of genres. Experimenting with a sweet mix of dream indie, shoegaze, psychedelic rock and dosages of the post-punk era, the band successfully molds their sound with playful Mac DeMarco boutique, psych-surf vibes of The Drums and indie riffs of Joy Division.
The band consists of Andris Strazds (vocal/guitar), Kārlis Krauklis (bass), Elza Kaktiņa (keyboard/vocal), Matīss Tazans (drums), Miķelis Putniņš (guitar/vocal), Niks Brensons (guitar).
