On May 10, MASA invites you to an acoustic jazz evening with vocalist Santa Šillere and guitarist Jānis Pastars. The program features carefully selected pieces from the Great American Songbook as well as popular music themes, interpreted by the duo with a delicate touch and the freedom of improvisation.
Santa Šillere is a Latvian jazz singer. In 2023, she released her debut album Other Ways, which was nominated for the LSM “Kilograms Kultūras STARTS” and the “GAMMA Award” in the “New Artist of the Year” category.
Jānis Pastars is a highly melodic and innovative guitarist and a Latvian Academy of Music graduate. He collaborates with several professional jazz and pop ensembles in Latvia and abroad and also performs his own original music.
An evening for those who appreciate the subtle dialogue between voice and guitar.
