2017 CEV Beach Volleyball European Championship Final
August 16th - 20th Jurmala, Latvia
This year the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) Beach Volleyball European Championship Final will be held from August 16th to 20th in the largest resort city on the Baltic sea coast – Jurmala, Latvia, where not only will the new European Champions be determined, but also the 200 000 EUR prize will be distributed.
This summer at Majori beach, Jurmala, a beach volleyball stadium has been constructed specially for the tournament. The stands will hold close to 3000 spectators, where over five days a total of 144 matches will be played. During this time 32 top ranking men’s and women’s pairs will compete among themselves to determine this year’s best European beach volleyball players.
The tournament will begin Wednesday, August 16th with the pool games, which will continue to Thursday, August 17th. On Friday, August 18th the elimination matches will be held and the playoffs will begin. The semifinals will be held on Saturday, August 19th, but the main battle for the European Championship titles will take place on Sunday, August 20th.
The first two days of the tournament (August 16th and 17th) all fans will be able to attend the pool matches free of charge.
On Friday, when the elimination matches will begin, entrance fee to the central stadium will be 10 EUR. On Saturday the entrance fee will be 15 EUR, but for the finals on Sunday it will be 20 EUR.
Admission is free for children up to the age of 6.
Children between the ages of 7 and 12 can buy tickets with a 50% discount, but they will have to show ID upon entering the stadium.
Persons in wheelchairs with attendants have to buy one ticket for both.
